Here’s an ultimate guide into all of our special guests tonight, live on The Eurovision Takeover 2020 at Home.
First Up: Sara De Blue
Sara De Blue is an Austrian singer-songwriter, known to Eurovision fans for participating in San Marino’s national selection ‘1in360’, which was aimed to find and showcase global talent, with the winner eventually representing the nation in Lisbon. Unfortunately, her track ‘Out of the Twilight’ didn’t win the competition, although still remains a widely played tune in the Eurovision spectrum. Watch her selection performance below.
Daz Sampson is British professional football manager/scout, music producer and broadcaster. He represented the United Kingdom at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Teenage Life’ and has scored 14 UK top-20 hits. Most recently, he entered Belarus’ national selection with ‘Kinky Boots’, which didn’t manage to reach the selection final. Watch Daz’s new documentary below.
Third to join us tonight is Aron Hannes. Aron is an Icelandic musical artist. He has tried to represent his nation Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest twice, competing in the selection ‘
Söngvakeppnin’ twice. In 2017 he entered with ‘Tonight’, coming in 3rd and in 2018 with ‘Gold Digger’, placing 4th.
Denis Midone is a 17 year old singer, who was born in Israel. He represented Moldova at the 2012 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Toate Vor Fi’, which finished in 10th. Most recently he attempted to represent Moldova again, this time in the Eurovision Song Contest. He entered the Moldovan selection with ‘Like A Champion’, placing 16th. Listen to his song below.
UK based Luke White is an online Eurovision Song Contest influencer, with over 5,000 YouTube subscribers and a large social following too. He is also a pop singer, recently releasing his new album Closed Heart, Dry Eyes. Listen to his debut track ‘Crazy’ below.
Finnish group F3M sadly couldn’t record a performance tonight but have still delivered a video message for us all. Made up of Viv, Baby O and Miara, they released their debut track ‘Bananas’ in February of this year and went on to try to represent Finland at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest with said song. They didn’t manage to make it to Eurovision but were very close, placing 3rd in UMK 2020.
Eliana Gomez Blanco
Young Maltese singer Eliana Gomez Blanco has prepared two tracks for tonight’s show. Eliana represented Malta in the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest which took place in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland last November. She placed 19th in the final with her song ‘We Are More’.
Georgina Hill-Brown (also known as the Honest Vocal Coach) is a professional vocal coach and popular YouTuber, with around 120,000 subscribers and thousands of followers on other social platforms too. She has prepared a short video message for the viewers tonight.
Rising star Jaguar Jonze will perform her second single ‘Beijing Baby’ live from her home in Australia. She most recently attempted to represent her nation in Australia Decides 2020 with the fan-favourite track ‘Rabbit Hole’.
Lavinia Rusu is a Moldovan singer who competed in The Voice Romania in 2018. She tried to represent Moldova at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest, competing in the selection with ‘Touch’. Lavinia made it to the top 10 in both 2020 and 2018. We will preview her national selection performance of ‘Touch’ tonight.
British singer Michael Rice will perform his new single ‘Think Of Me’. He won the first edition of All Together Now in the United Kingdom and one year later entered You Decide, eventually representing his country at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Bigger Than Us’.
Doutson is a French singer-songwriter who participated in the French national final ‘Destination Eurovision’ in 2019 with ‘Sois un bon fils’ (Be a good son).
Last but not least: Jessie Hong
Our finale performance will be from Jessie Hong, American Eurovision fan who, by matter of fact, is an author at ESCTakeover too! Jessie will perform a piano cover of 2019 winning song ‘Arcade’.
