United Kingdom: Announcement To Be Made On 29th February?

So, as some of you may have seen, several rumours are spreading around social media sites about who will represent the United Kingdom in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. It was revealed that the BBC would be partnering with record label BMG to select its song and artist for Eurovision on the 16th of September 2019.

Previous rumours which arose included the likes of Fleur East, Louisa, Susan Boyle and many more. However, these artists quickly confirmed that they were not selected to represent the UK at Eurovision 2020.

Recently, it has come to light that there is a timetable gap in the BBC One schedule on Saturday the 29th of February at 18:00 until 18:30.

The United Kingdom have still not made an announcement regarding their artist or song for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. The deadline for submitting songs is on Monday the 9th of March.
