The artwork for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest has been revealed.
‘Open Up to the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest, taking place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on the 12th, 14th and 16th of May. This morning, the artwork for the event has been revealed by the European Broadcasting Union.
The logo symbolises the 65 years of the Eurovision Song Contest, and the 41 countries competing in this year’s event. The Executive Producer Event of the contest, Sietse Bakker, has spoken of the announcement of the branding:
This design follows the characteristics of Dutch Design: minimalistic, experimental and innovative. It tells a story, it’s colourful, festive and, not unimportantly, widely applicable.Sietse Bakker, Executive Producer Event
The Executive Supervisor of the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest, Jon Ola Sand also spoke about the branding reveal:
