Today, the Junior Eurovision Opening Ceremony takes place in Katowice, Poland.
Share The Joy! It’s Junior Eurovision week, which signifies the start of rehearsals, interviews and more. As you may have already seen, several artists have began flying into Gliwice-Silesia ready for the week ahead. You can catch all of the photos from the airport on Twitter, with the hashtag #OffToGliwice.
The Opening Ceremony is taking place at the Silesian Theatre, in Katowice, Poland. The show will begin at approximately 3pm (UK time) and will last (on average) around an hour and a half.
The format of the show is expected to be similar of the past few years; the artists walk down the red carpet in alphabetical order, meeting their fans and speaking with the hosts. Last year, there was a performing segment, featuring performances from the 2017 winner, Polina Bogusevich, Maria Zhilina (featured in Belarus’ selection in 2018) and Zena, Helena Meraai and Daniel Yastremski together performed the common song ‘Light Up’.
Today’s show will be hosted by Agata Konarska and Mateusz Szymkowiak. You can watch it live via TVP Info (Poland) or the official YouTube livestream – click here.
