Cyril Hirsch has been announced as the successor of Jan Bors, to be the Head of Delegation for the Czech Republic for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Currently, Ctril Hirsch is a production manager at the Czech national broadcaster, Ceska Televize and was previously the deputy-head of delegation for the Czech Republic at the Eurovision Song Contest.
The previous head of delegation, Jan Bors, worked with CT from 2015 up until October 2019, when he announced he would be resigning. In his time in the role, he managed to deliver Czech Republic’s first qualification and first top-10 appearance, in which he is celebrated for. Jan Bors confirmed that the Czech Republic would be hosting its first ever televised national final in his final months working as HoD.
The televised show will take place at the Forum Karlin, Prague on the 25th of January, 2020. Czech Republic’s last televised national selection took place in 2008. For the past two years, the country has conducted a selection with music videos of the artists being published for the Czech jury and public to decide upon.
