Find out more about Kseniya Simonova, from our new & exclusive interview.
Born in April 1985, Kseniya Simonova is a worldwide-acclaimed sand and snow artist, originally born in Ukraine. She rose to fame after winning the first series of Ukraine’s Got Talent, and receiving a prize of one million hryvna (equivalent to 110,000 dollars). She is the only act to ever receive a Golden Buzzer on both Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions and America’s Got Talent: The Champions. Most recently, she came third in the final of Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions.
To Eurovision fans, she is known as a Eurovision star, participating in the contest twice, both in 2011 and in 2019. In 2011, she was part of the Ukrainian act, with Mika Newton singing ‘Angel’ in Dusseldorf, Germany. She performed live sand art to an audience of over 100 million and eventually Ukraine managed to reach 4th place in the Grand Final. Eight years later, Kseniya returned, this time with the Moldovan delegation. With a lot more freedom, Kseniya was given the oppurtunity to brainstorm camera angles, lighting and much more. As pointed out in our new interview, her wishes were not granted by the EBU. The Moldovan delegation still produced an incredible performance, this time with snow art and reached 12th in the Second Semi-Final.
