Last month, ESCtakeover reported that Darija Vračević would represent Serbia in the upcoming Junior Eurovision contest in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland. Today, RTS, Serbia’s broadcaster, has revealed the music video for “Podigni glas” (Raise your voice) on its website. The song is a compelling call to action from children to adults to address issues rising from increasing natural disasters, a topic fellow youth, including Greta Thunberg, the daughter of Malena Ernman (Sweden 2009), have taken up increasingly.
The selection committee for RTS shortlisted two songs for Junior Eurovision: “Da, Da, Da” (Yes, Yes, Yes), performed by Staša Kostadinović, and “Podigni glas”, the latter for which Vračević helped write lyrics. Vračević won the final committee vote.
The music video can currently be streamed on the RTS website and below. The Junior Eurovision channel has officially released the song’s music video as of 8 October. What do you think of the song?
