SVT has announced that they have received 2,545 songs for Melodifestivalen 2020.
This year, 2,545 songs have been submitted for Melodifestivalen, the Swedish national selection. 2,295 songs were submitted last year, so there is an increase of 250 songs. The selection will begin on February the 1st in Linköping and eventually decide Sweden’s representative on the 7th of March, in the capital Stockholm.

A total of 28 artists will compete in Melodifestivalen. Next year’s edition of Melodifestivalen will be the 60th anniversary, and Swedish Broadcaster SVT has promised that the event will be ‘extraordinary’.
