Eleven year old Darija Vračević will represent Serbia at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘Speak Up’.
RTS, the Serbian broadcaster, has selected their artist and song for JESC 2019, taking place in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland. The selection was open until the 1st of September, in which a decision was made from hundreds of submissions from young artists around Serbia. Darija was selected by the RTS selection committee, who listened to all of the participating songs and voted.
Meet The Artist
Darija Vračević was born on the the 27th of October 2007 in capital Belgrade, Serbia. She attends normal and music school and has won various musical prizes around Serbia. Other than singing, Darija is also a budding actor, having a role in the child musical Tesla and the Battle at the Magnetic Field. She has also worked with Disney/Pixar.
She will represent Serbia with the song Podigni Glas (Speak Up), which is inspired by world developments like climate change. During the process of creating the song, Darija worked with popular musicians Aleksandra and Leontina. Her final song will be released at a later date.
