Representing Malta at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest is Eliana Gomez Blanco.
Eliana is 14 years old and enjoys to read and of course sing. She also works hard at school so that she can fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor. Other than being a doctor, Eliana is also interested in hairdressing, and will sit her final exam this September.
Eliana is experienced in music, as she won the ‘Għanja Tal-Poplu Żgħażagħ 2018’ contest and was also a finalist in MJESC (Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest). Eliana was chosen to represent her country out of twelve young male and female musicians by a 50/50 vote. 50% came from the judges: Claudia Faniello (Malta ESC 2017), Ela Mangion(Malta JESC 2018) and Deo Grech (Host and producer of Maltese Eurovision Radio) and 50% came from the viewers at home. Leah Cauchi and Martina Cutajar finished in second and third place.
