Nineteen countries will participate in the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, held in Gliwice-Silesia.
Today, the European Broadcasting Union has confirmed that 19 countries will participate in Junior Eurovision this year:
Albania, Armenia, Australia, Belarus, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Spain, the Netherlands, Ukraine and Wales will travel to Poland to perform on Sunday the 24th of November. Spain is returning after 13 years of absence, their last participation in 2006. They won the contest back in 2004.
The 2019 edition of the show is the 17th version since 2003. The only countries to have participated in every edition of the show are The Netherlands and Belarus, The Netherlands with one win and Belarus with two wins. Australia, Ireland & Portugal will be participating for the fifth time. Russia, Malta & North Macedonia will celebrate their 15th participation. Wales & Kazakhstan will be participating for the second-time, after debuting last year.
