The Voice as the UK’S National Selection?

American rapper Will.i.am thinks that The Voice UK should be the National Selection to select the UK’s entry.

Speaking to The Sun, Will.i.am said ”How come the winner of The Voice doesn’t automatically go onto Eurovision? You know what I’m saying – it would work”

He believes that the show should change it’s format, meaning that the winner automatically wins a ticket to represent the UK at Eurovision. Formats like these have worked beneficially in recent years, with shows like Melodifestivalen proving hugely popular.
